Chapter 5, pages 4-5

September and August have appeared two or three times in the comic (including the very first page), but this is their first speaking part. In case you wanted to refresh your memory on the story without having to reread the archives, there’s this handy summary of the previous chapters.

Last week a number of people told me that the site was setting off their antivirus alerts and/or redirecting them to some sort of ad site. Now I believe I have fixed the issue, but if you’re still encountering problems with the site please let me know.

    It just redirected me, but on typing in the URL again I didn’t have a problem. (Of course, I think I have a Google redirect virus, so I may be the only one.)

    And yay! I love updates!

    Quite fitting as thats where they are headed…

    Also i got redirected when clicking the latest comic. When I read that you where having problems, I tried again, but no without getting redirected.

    with a few more test’s i ending up at http://domainpark.sitelutions.com/sl_redir_temp_down.html, that wasn’t so harmful. 9 out of 10 it works

    I did get redirected to an odd site the first time I visited (not harmful), but when I opened the link again things were fine.

    Just got the porn sites when coming via my bookmark. Closing the tab and using the bookmark again in a fresh tab worked. It’s really weird.

    Need brain bleach though.

    You have no idea how happy I am to see you updating again. I always kept getting closer and closer to giving up, but I still checked about twice a week for updates, for over a year! ;w;

    I got hit by this same hack a few weeks ago. Are you on Dreamhost? Because Dreamhost was compromised around that time, and a bunch of sites (mine, for example) got this crap.

    It’s incredibly sneaky because it does redirects only every three hits or so (thus, the folks who’ve been able to get your site on the second try) and INCREDIBLY annoying because the bot puts its filthy nasty javascript… THINGS at the top of every single php page you have. That can be a lot of pages. In my case, over five hundred.

    Fortunately my web-guru rescued me, using these instructions:

    Hopefully that will be of help to you, or you can pass it on to a web guru and it will be of help to them. I will join you in thinking EVIL EVIL BURN BURN BURN thoughts at spamming hackers.

    And really, *really* excited to see the comic updating again, btw. I did a dance. :)

    I can’t tell you how happy I was to see an update email in my inbox after all this time! I loved reading these past 2 updates and I’m waiting for a free weekend to sit down and re-read from the beginning.

    I too would like to know if you’re considering publishing the comic someday? I’d definitely purchase it!

    I’ve just finnished reading this whole comic through, and saying it simply, m’quite smitten. Long may your insperation flow, or burn, or reign, or whatever it is that gives out such a fun yet thoughtful story for others to read.

    I get redirects one every few hits or so, as kat says. To a .ru site, so I suspect it’s still compromised somewhere.

    I stumbled across this comic a few months after it went on hiatus in 2010 and I’ve been hoping ever since that you would find the time to continue it. I stopped checking after several months went by, but I just stumbled across it again and was overjoyed to see that you’re updating again. Keep up the good work!

    Updates! Whoot!!!!
    Your webcomic is the only one that has kept me coming back in spite of a huge hiatus, always hoping there would be some new pages. The story is so captivating, the characters so compelling, it just keeps nagging in the back of my head. I hope to be following this story for another couple of years (tho with a little more pages it would be easier :-P ). Keep up the great work; it’s great to see you’re back.

    I read this when I was in high school 6 years ago and I was looking for something to read now and I’m glad that you’ve continued working on it! :D

    Another thing, is it possible for you to compile it into one pdf so that it is easier to print out and read?

    I followed this comic a few years ago until it went on hiatus. I checked back every once in a while to see if it was back, and I’d almost given up hope until I saw the link from True Magic! I’m excited for the rest of it, particularly now that I’m better-versed in the lesser-known tales. :-)
